The pool offers an exceptional view of the remnants of the hacienda's past. It would also be amazing to add the sounds of the surrounding fauna and flora to fully feel the magic of the place and its deep connection with nature.
We were treated like kings, everybody was very kind to us. We had a traditional Yucatecan dinner. A delight!
History
‘Mul Chac’ (Cerro Rojo) was the name given by the Mayans to this cattle breeding site since 1667, which later became dedicated to the cultivation of henequin, like much of this region in the state of Yucatán.
At the end of the 19th century, the hacienda passed into the hands of the Counts of Miraflores, who renamed it San Antonio Peón. During this time, the two main buildings underwent a magnificent renovation, and a chapel was built. With French materials and medieval and Renaissance influences, the hacienda acquired a unique style.
At the dawn of the new millennium, two couples dedicated themselves to preserving the time etched in the hacienda's walls. This carefully planned venture resulted in the splendid place we now know as Hacienda San Antonio Millet, whose doors are open to visitors from all around the world.
